IMG_4554In the summer of 1993, Bro. Ralph Angelo (our pastor at the time) and Bro. John Kennedy felt led of the Lord to ask Bro. Derek and Sis. Kelly Watson to assist them in starting a school again in Tyler. Bro. Angelo shared a dream he had of our children fleeing from something and falling off a cliff. Upon waking, the Lord dealt with him to start a school. Bro. Kennedy confirmed that the Lord had also been dealing with him in a similar fashion. Following Bro. Anglelo’s passing, Bro. Kennedy felt led of the Lord to build a school and family life center.

During the fall of 2001, construction began on the new facility. The men in the church spent many hours working together to build our wonderful facility. We were also blessed by a number of other churches from Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Michigan, and Florida who assisted us in completing the project. In the Spring of 2004 we started our first classes in our new building. How excited we were!

We appreciate the students who have graduated from our school and gone on to be a strength to the church and a testimony within their community. A number of them have returned as teachers and volunteers in the school and have children of their own in the school today! We have many wonderful memories of our time together.

Following Bro. Derek Watson’s time in the school, Bro. David Angelo took over the responsibility for the oversight of the school. In 2013 Bro. Angelo was diagnosed with cancer and continued to faithfully serve the school until his passing in 2014. While our hearts our sorrowful for his loss, we appreciate his commitment to making an impact in the lives of our students.

Currently, our parents work together as a homeschool cooperative.  We treasure the times we are able to get together and enjoy one another’s fellowship. We are excited about the future and what God is doing in our midst.  In spite of adversities and challenges, we truly believe that the Lord is preparing workers for His vineyard and we are excited to see what the Lord will complete in the lives of each of our children!
